Raining a lot

It has been raining non-stop for days here. The ducks love it! We have watching a mother duck, and we noticed that she first had 11 ducklings, then eight, then six, and then one day we saw the six ducklings all by themselves. She left them to fend for themselves, so she either abandoned them, took a vacation, or taught them to be independent.
