More adventures

We went to Huddersfield, where Grandma Annie Woodhead Sharp was born. Since we were with friends we only went to the town square and the weekly Market where we got lunch. The pictures are of the train station and Elder Olson and Brother O'Neill.

We went to the park near the Preston Temple to a concert celebrating 175 years of the arrival of the LDS church to England. This is the park - it was beautiful and wet.

 This is a plaque in the park put up a few years ago commemorating the arrival of the church to England. Also the River Ribble, where Heber C. Kimball baptized the first members. It is said that they RAN to the river to be first into the waters of baptism.





The O'Neills. They brought plastic to sit on and wrap around in case we weren't prepared - which we weren't.

Transfer day! It is always sad to say good-bye to missionaries with whom you love and may never see again. The Jensens, an office couple went home - they are from Cache Valley and Elder Montgomery from the Salt Lake City area also went home.





This is our district before the split. Hurrah for Israel!!

We have helping Kevin with his new flat - from painting to buying furniture, etc. We even brought in recrutes to help with the floor. He bought us flowers and lunch to show his apreciation. (He has been to church a couple times too.)

New Baptism

This is our newest baptism - Claire Bennett! She is just turning 18 and has been coming, with her sister to FHE at our home. She's the one in the middle standing by the missionaries. We think she is a pretty classy little gal and are very excited that she decided to get baptized. The other picture is some of the YSAs that came to support her in the baptism. Sandy Brown, the one in the back row with the sandy hair is our stake YSA rep. He is a Scotsman, and probably brought most of the others.
