Sister Sanderson invited me over to her home and she taught me how to bake delicious desserts for the YSA family home evening.

Scottish Burns night
This is a picture of the YSAs at the celebration of the Scottish Burns night. We ate haggis (offal, mixed with spices, suet, oatmeal, etc. cooked in the stomach of a pig or lamb), danced, played games, and experienced a few Scottish traditions
perfect score
The Zone Leaders, Elders Taylor and Griffiths received "The Perfect Flat" inspection award! Elder and Sister Olson were their official flat inspectors.

Missionaries
These two missionaries are Elders Ressler and Elder DeShazer and they come to our home every Saturday to Skype Poland as they are the only Polish-speaking missionaries in England. The APs in Poland do language study with them every week. This picutre is very typical. They have been with each other for one year and have NOT been transferred. They claim to be our sons.
The Chinese Group is growing. Jason and Joey are the first two Chinese converts to be baptized. Elder Olson baptized both of them! They are doing so well. Pictured is Jason.

Happy March
The Chinese New Year was February 10 and is different every year, determined by the phases of the moon. The Hull First Ward had a fantastic party. We ate Chinese food, played games, sang a Chinese song, watched fireworks, and launched some Chinese lanterns. Here are a few pictures. Sister Olson was born in the year of the rat, which is a very good year. Elder Olson can't seem to remember in what year he was born. This year is the year of the snake.
The elders were inside the dragon dancing around.
We went to the city centre and watched the snake dance through St. Stevens shopping centre in celebration of the Chinese New Year. William and Suki and other friends were there also.
These Brits look to bake and decorate cakes. Sister Sanderson invited me over to her home and showed me how to bake for our gluten free elder and how to decorate. The YSAs were elated as they were the recipients of the yummee treats.

SNOW!! In England
It doesn't happen often, but we have snow in England. It lasted about 2-3 weeks. This is the park in front of our house.
Little William is a topic of much attention at the Chinese group each Sunday. Here he is with Elders Taylor and Griffiths.
We had a Burn's Night. Robert Burns is a famous poet in Scotland and every year they celebrate in his honor. It's like a national Scottish holiday! The YSAs ate haggis (lamb offal), neeps (mashed turnips), and tatties (mashed potatoes). Heather read the Haggis poem, we all played a word game and then danced some Scottish dances. I didn't get good pictures, but here are some of the YSAs that participated.

the work is quickening
Chinese Group
YSA's. More pictures and the finished puzzle!
District Lunch at Gyros
The zone leaders found a great place for take-out. Cheap and lots of food. Athenas Gyros. Here are a few pictures.

Newest baptism covert
David Ward is definitely a keeper. He knew the church was true immediately and was baptized. We love him and he is talented! We need more like him, because he is committed! Then the YSAs came over to ours for a party after the baptism. They finished the puzzle we started a week earlier, and it was a HARD puzzle.
Whitby
On P-Day we went to Whitby, a story book village by the North Sea. We loved just walking around taking in this romantic little townMany of the cottages are named. We found one called "The Stocks" and decided we needed a picture. There was a lady that recognized our badges (from Salt Lake City) and offered to take our picture.
Transfers
We hate transfers and we love transfers. Elder Cumming, Pinada and Sister Snow left us. It's hard to say good-bye
Jason's baptism
Our Chinese friend, Jason, was baptized. He asked Elder Olson to baptize him and I spoke at the baptism. We need him!
